It’s probably fair to say I should have started this journey a little while ago but somewhere along the way I got distracted and my energies diverted. That’s not to say that I haven’t been productive, it’s just that much of what I have been creating has been for other people. For as long as I remember I have always felt compelled to sketch and take photographs, to collect materials for future projects and to devise new concepts but I never seemed to get around to actually publishing anything.
Things changed very recently when, with spare time on my hands while recovering from an operation, I suddenly felt an overwhelming need to start producing all of the ideas that had been getting increasingly volatile in my mind. This quickly became an urgent and obsessive desire to release everything that had been forcing it’s way up into my consciousness.
Within days my sketchbook was full and I began my first three projects under the banner of Darta Projects. There are lots more to come in different guises and this blog provides me with the outlet and discipline to chronicle both their and my evolution moving forward.
